Sometimes we don’t know the answer right away. These are “Unknowns.” But don’t worry! By looking at the clues together, we can figure out the mystery.
The Goal: Use clues to reveal the secret configuration of the lights.
The Mystery Bulb
One bulb is a complete mystery. We don’t have a clue for it directly!
Clue 1: “Exactly two lights are ON.” Clue 2: “The Red light is ON.”
Exactly two lights are ON.
The Red light is ON.
The Blue light is OFF.
Hidden Patterns
Unknowns can be part of a bigger pattern.
Clue 1: “Exactly one light is ON.” Clue 2: “The Green light is OFF.”
Exactly one light is ON.
The Green light is OFF.
The Yellow light is OFF.
